Position Description/Requirements
Primary
Responsibilities:
The core responsibility of Dow Corning's SAP Basis team is maintaining the health & availability of all installed SAP systems including ECC, GRC, SCM, PI, CRM, SRM, Solution Manager, SAP Portal, Business Objects, xMII, and BW. Delivering direct support to business users and actively contributing to project-based initiatives, the Senior SAP BASIS Engineer performs a variety of tasks requiring a comprehensive knowledge of the SAP application suite.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
The successful candidate shall assist as directed in the installation, upgrade, configuration, and maintenance of the Basis component of various SAP systems and will assist in the planning, designing and architecture of SAP systems across a variety of platforms and database. Qualified individuals will be capable of working both independently and in a team environment with the ability to effectively communicate with peers to gain insight and develop solutions that properly satisfy business requirements.
Position may include responsibility for team leadership as defined by Infrastructure Engineering Manager.
Education:
Minimum 3-5 years experience in IT field.
1-2 years of previous BASIS experience preferred.
Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science or related field preferred.
