Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED; Knowledge of athletic policies and procedures; Three to five years successful experience in athletics is preferred; Excellent communication skills; An ability to handle confidential matters, set priorities and work well under pressure with an attention to detail; Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; Ability to effectively use technology; Excellent problem solving skills; Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of directors, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform these essential duties using mathematical units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distanceAbility to calculate figures and amounts mathematically related to proportions, percentages, area, and circumference using appropriate and basic mathematical skillsAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Principal in charge of Athletics and the Assistant Athletic Director Supervisory Responsibility:
All school employees have some responsibility for supervising students and assisting in maintaining a safe environment at all times.
Salary Range:
$6,000 for full school year; or $2,000 per season.
Non-union, At-Will positionFollows school calendarDaily schedule varies due to after-school and weekend games/events.
Essential Duties Prepare athletic fields and courts for game events, including but not limited to:
Setting chairs/benches on court; Setting up scorer's table; Turning on audio equipment; Setting up scoreboard clock; Preparing outdoor fields with markers, flags, and other field equipment; Unlocking all field and entry gates; Roping off special seating section where applicable; Pulling bleachers out; Raising gym basketball nets.
Coordinate with officials, media, and visiting teams:
Upon arrival usher them to assigned locker rooms; Provide water to officials; Escort teams to locker rooms during halftime or extended stoppage of play.
Meet chain gang, timers, and distribute materials for contests; Prepare the National Anthem before contest and announce starting line-ups when no announcer is present; Facilitate game operations including guest or officials concernsAct as a resource person and coordinator for all officials and visiting teams; Deliver money boxes to ticket takers and collect them at the appropriate time to lock them in the safeDeliver team rosters to be distributed at ticket boothsEnsure proper collection of admission payments; Check on ticket booth and press box during the game; Complete end of game take-down and clean up including but not limited to:
Storing chairs/benches; Storing scorer's table; Turning off audio equipment; Turning off scoreboard clock; Removing and storing outdoor field markers, flags, and other equipment; Lock outdoor bathrooms; Lock all field and entry gates; Take down American flag.
Provide resources for player and guest safety during athletic contests.
Monitor the student section and provide crowd control.
Support the administration team during game supervision; Ensure district adherence to all MHSAA and district policies, administrative rules, procedures, and codes relating to athletics; Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Take in-service training as provided.
Must be self-directed and have the ability to follow directives from supervisors.
Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
Regular in-person attendance.
