This is a full-time position and requires a candidate who is honest, dependable, reliable and trustworthy.
The main objective of this position is to help others to work more efficiently by providing technical equipment and support.
Technical support requires working closely with our other departments to achieve quality solutions in a timely manner.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
This individual reports directly to the IT Manager and is tasked with maintaining computer programs across all our Plants.
Their responsibilities include the upkeep of existing Plant computer programs that we choose to retain, adjusting the remainder of the program to meet acceptable accuracy standards as dictated by evolving technology and equipment providers.
The role involves aligning the program with our current in-house practices and ensuring compliance with MDOT, ODOT, and INDOT requirements.
Additionally, this position will be integral to our succession planning, as the IT Manager plans to retire.
The successful candidate will play a key role in offering technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software.
This encompasses addressing inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and delivering technical advice and assistance.
The ideal candidate should possess a robust understanding of computer systems, excellent customer service skills, and the capability to troubleshoot intricate issues.
Duties include:
Responsible for maintaining computer programs across Manages upkeep of existing Plant computer programs, adjusting as needed for acceptable accuracy Aligns programs with current in-house practices and ensures compliance with MDOT, ODOT, and INDOT Plays a key role in providing technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software Addresses inquiries, troubleshoots problems, and provides technical advice and assistance Ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of computer systems, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues Provide software and hardware support for local and remote users.
Configuration, installation, and maintenance of network equipment.
Configuration, installation, and maintenance of computer equipment.
Investigation, recommendation, and resolution of technical issues.
Assist with the development of internal software programs.
Other duties as assigned or as required.
Many of the duties of this position will be centered on establishing and maintaining our record keeping as directed by the current and future Company practices and Policies.
This includes such things as; work and communicate closely with outside firms and/or outside supervisors, maintain coordination between production, sales, marketing, detailing, dispatching, supervision and outside personnel, and any other duties as assigned.

Possesses excellent problem solving-solving skills with a focus on efficiency analyzing and resolving technical issues, while delivering exceptional coworker experience through excellent communication and interpersonal skills to understand the end users' needs.

Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines to resolutions.
Ability to prioritize and manage tasks and projects effectively.

Preferred skills:
General knowledge of our plants and our company shipping operations, electronic communications and design workings.
This person must be a team or group oriented individual while communicating with office staff, crew leaders, supervision, management and subordinates.
It is preferred to have a minimum of a two-year associate degree in an IT related field with 3
years working in an IT related position.
It is preferred to have proven experience in troubleshooting and supporting Google Workspace, Windows Operating Systems with functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft OneDrive and other Office 365 solutions.
Learn Epicor, Samsara and any other future computer programs the Company decides to use as its main operating systems.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including physical cabling, Wi-Fi standards, and others.
Expertise in facilitating PC, laptop, and other hardware replacements, including data migration and set up.
Install and maintains new or existing networks.
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
Eventually perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
Provide support per request from various constituencies.
Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Apply upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
Configure / add new services as necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Providing guidance on policies and procedures as it relates to hardware and security.
Some travel to other Plants and offices is required.
So is a valid driver's license.
This candidate selected will be required to maintain a constant professional demeanor while representing Northern Concrete Pipe, Inc.
Time Coordination is critical to this position.
The individual must have the ability to know what is going on in the entire plant/office and then maintain a schedule to keep their day organized so no required duties get missed.
They will have to adapt equipment and processes on the fly to meet ever-changing products, processes and requirements in our industry and company.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
