The Barista maintains operations at the Coffee Shop while maintaining a positive environment, which provides fast, efficient, and friendly service ensuring a quality experience for both our customers and team members.
The Barista is responsible for customer service, product knowledge and education, and encouraging safe work practices.
Core
Responsibilities:
Prepares and presents food & beverages according to established recipe and presentation standards.
Provides service to the customers in a positive, friendly, helpful manner.
Runs a register, other devices and Credit Card Machine accurately, following all cash handling procedures.
Ensures accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements during work shift.
Follows current trends in the coffee business and makes operations suggestions.
Assists in menu development.
Assists with special events as assigned.
Assists with product management; including ordering and inventory of stock.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year of retail or six months of specialty coffee experience.
Basic computer knowledge.
